How we choose who comes in.

1. Who we hire
We hire two roles: home cleaners and housekeepers. Both are stay-out roles. We don’t place live-in staff.
2. Background checks
In New York City, the Fair Chance Act controls when and how criminal history can be considered. Our process, and the order it happens in, must follow it.
3. Training before the first visit
- Boundaries of the job: no childcare, pet care, elderly care, or cooking and food prep
- Handling access codes: visible only after check-in on the day, never shared or written down
- Errands: on foot, within about 1.2 miles (2 km), prepaid pickups only, never handling a customer’s cash or cards
4. What can disqualify an applicant
Criminal history criteria must follow the NYC Fair Chance Act and any other law that applies.
